Dr. Ciara Joyce graduated from University College Dublin with a Honours Degree in Medicine in 2005. Following her intern year in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, she worked in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Sydney before returning to Ireland to train as a GP. During her postgraduate training with UCD, she gained further experience in Women’s Health when she worked in the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, and was also awarded a Diploma in Women’s Health from the Royal College of Physicians.

She has worked as a GP for over 15 years. She worked in the Complex Intrauterine Contraception (“Coil”) Clinic in the National Maternity Hospital for 3 years from 2017, and was a founder of the GP-Led Gynaecology in the Coombe Hospital in 2020. She trains GPs how to insert & remove intrauterine contraception. She is also a GP Trainer with the North Dublin City GP Training Scheme. She holds Menopause training certificates from the Irish College of General Practitioners & from the British Menopause Society.

She loves spending time with her husband & two daughters, aged 7 & 8, and enjoys cycling, yoga, skiing & dancing!
